The US got its first ever app related to the earthquake warning. LA which is located on the west coast is regarded as one of those areas which can get most disturbance if the earthquake is to hit it.
Level of devastation can increase many degrees. That is why many public service agencies are working on early warning sensor network related to the earthquake.
Mayor of LA:
According to the mayor of LA, this app will provide the necessary information which all the public need just a few seconds before the earthquake is about to hit.
To many people, these few seconds are noting, but to others, it can mean a lot. Anyone who gets a heads-up warning about the earthquake which is about to hit can save themselves from getting out an elevator or dropping and covering or even getting on the side of the road to save themselves.
The basic purpose is to save as many people as possible from the injury, and that can be done when there is any kind of warning issued.
About This App:
This app is launched by the US Geological Survey’s, and it is called ShaleAlertLA. Although many such agencies are working under the government and self-employed as in private firms, this is the first time that general public is getting informed about the natural disaster which might hit them and with the magnitude of 5.0 or above. It is available on both Apple and Android smartphones.
