The new Hajj policy for the year 2019 has just been released and the news of there might be free hajj for older citizens has come to rest as there will be no free hajj this year. The released came from the Federal Government, and legal notifications were issued in this regard.
Hajj Policy Details
As per the released notifications, the total number of hajjis this year will be 184,210 out of which 10,000 will be those pilgrims who have has their applications rejected in the past three years.
Not only they will get their chance to perform hajj this year but also those older citizens whose ages are of 80 or plus. Their seats are to 10,000 in counting. All pilgrims will be provided with five liters of ZamZam.
For Infants
In another notification, the Hajj dues for those infants who will be accompanying their parents on this year’s Hajj are also explained, and they will be Rs. 12,910 for North and for South it will be Rs. 11,910.
It is also very clearly stated in the notice that those children who will be going along with their parents must be born on or after 15th September 2017.
Must Requirement For The Applicants
All those people who wish to apply for this year Hajj must have the following necessary documents for application.
- A valid computerized National Identity Card NIC,
- Pakistani Passport which is readable by the international Machine.
The validity of the passport should be up to October 02, 2020. However, those passports which are valid up to February 02, 2020 would also be included into consideration.

It should be noted here that the forms will be available between the dates of February 25 to March 6th and it can be attained from any of the above mentioned 14 banks of Pakistan.
The Expense For Hajj 2019
According to the government, the Hajj policy of 2019 has changed, and the expense has increased. This year the total expense will be Rs. 436,975 for Northern Region while the southern region will pay Rs. 426,975.
