With the arrival of New Year, new challenges have taken up the internet. One of these challenges is the #10YearChallenge.
In this, you have to compare the present self of you with the #10 year previous self. So many people are posting their pictures with hashtag of 10YearChallenge.
But interestingly, not just celebrities and famous people are taking part in this challenge, but also big brands and sports clubs are also posting their ten years’ experience.
Take cricket for example. Many cricketers are posting their pictures from past and present.
International cricket council has taken it up upon itself to show how the cricket has changed and who were the top-rated batsmen and bowlers from two format of the game that is test cricket and ODI (one day international) cricket.
ICC has released the comparisons between these formats and making it easy for cricket lovers to see where cricket and cricketers were and where they are now.

As you can see that West Indian Batsman was leading the test batsman ranking in 2009 while now it is Virat Kohli of India.
No Pakistani batsmen can be seen in the latest list which shows how poorly the Pakistani batsmen are performing while 10 years ago in 2009, two of the leading Pakistani batsmen Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan can be seen in the list. It is a sad moment for Pakistani cricket I must say.

|10.||Zaheer Khan (IND)||631||Jason Holder (WI)||751|
A little hope for Pakistanis as Mohammad Abbas, rather new talent can be seen in the latest list of test bowlers. It is fantastic to see that only Dale Steyn is left from the 10-year-old list that is still playing. All others have retired.
One Day International Ranking
|10 Years Ago||Now|
|1.||Mahendra Singh Dhoni (IND)||771||Virat Kohli (IND)||899|
|2.||Chris Gayle (WI)||768||Rohit Sharma (IND)||871|
|3.||Michael Hussey (AUS)||752||Ross Taylor (NZ)||823|

This comparison shows how well Indian men are performing. Ten years ago, the list was led by MS Dhoni, then Captain of the Indian team while now the top listed batsmen is none other than Virat Kohli, an Indian captain. This only proves how this cricket team is performing and maintaining their hold on the cricket while preforming persistently.

This list highlights the fact that cricket has expanded its horizon to such levels that those countries who were not even though to enter the cricket have now start bowlers like Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rehman of Afghanistan.
Who would have thought about this change 10 years back? But it is happening, and new talents and countries are now emerging with a fantastic amount of cricket playing knowledge, style, and performance.
