Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah plans to restore the tram service that was once the highlight of Karachi in the old days. The government is planning to use the proper expertise of Austrian government because Austria is one of those countries in the world who has the best tram services.
Sindh CM met with the Pakistani ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan posted in Vienna at the CM house Karachi. They discussed the matter in details and CM asked the ambassador to help in this matter so that the relationship between the two countries can improve as well.
The ambassador proposed to work in the fields of Technical education, renewable hydropower, and city planning to have experts from Austria to increase the opportunities for a better relationship between Pakistan and Austria.
Karachi used to have an excellent tram service as this is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to travel within the city. Karachi promoted his services to this best, but with the emerging new technologies and ever-increasing population, tram service was closed as proper area decisions and maintenance were not taken at the time.
