With the new era of development under the reign of our newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan, many positive changes are happening. Among such changes is the plan of assembling of the Iveco trucks in Pakistan.
This decision was made by the MMC Master Motor Corporation chief executive Danial Malik.

This announcement came at the inauguration of the MMC’s first 5-s facility and showroom at Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate Area. The CEO said that Iveco vehicles and Foton and Fuso vehicles are already on sale.
He told the reporters that the Company will also start producing the Changan vehicles in Pakistan.
According to the CE of the MMC Company, they have been importing the truck in Pakistan, but they want more stable commitment and want to take it a notch further. That is why they have decided to start the assembling from the middle of this year 2019.
He further added that with such huge investment, there are going be direct and indirect 10,000 different job opportunities and since it is a joint venture between Master Motor and Changan Automobiles of China, the initial investment for the initial set up would be $100 million.
According to the CEO, the company plans to assemble 300 trucks in the first 5 years and from there on, the production will be according to the need. He said that Iveco trucks were ideal for the long routes in China and Central Asia. The company has already set its dealership in 10 major cities of Pakistan.
The production will take place at the Changan Plant located at the Qasim Port which will have the turnover capacity of almost 30,000 vehicles per year.
