Nepra has approved the petition which was filed by the CPPA for the reduction of the power tariff under the head of the monthly fuel adjustment charges. Nepra has approved to have a reduced power tariff by 31 paise.
Nepra (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) accepted the petition and granted this relief in tariff. It will hit the consumers by the next month, under the heading of fuel adjustments surcharge.
The Petition Statements:
In the petition, CPPA (Central Power Purchasing Agency) explained that 20.4% of the electricity is produced by the local gas while the 17.23% is generated by the imported LNG.
CPPA also explained in their petition that the cost of the electricity was 4.71 per unit while the users were getting it at the rate of 5.00 per unit.
