In the current on-going cricket series between Pakistan and South Africa, Pakistan scored a Low 190 all out in the second inning of the 1st test match and gave the Proteas a winning target of 145 runs with 3 full days at hand.
Earlier Pakistan scored 181 in the first innings while South Africa replied back with 223. They gained a lead of 44 runs on Pakistan.
Dressing Room Incident:
Pakistani Coach Mickey Arthur was visibly distraught with the performances of the senior players like Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahamad and Azahar Ali who scored 6, 0 and 0 respectively.
According to the media reports, after such dismal performances, Arthur lost his temper and was heard having a heated argument with the players after the end of the 2nd day.
He got so angry over the poor display of responsibility of the senior players that he threw different objects all around the dressing room. The noises could be heard from the outside.
Arthur is known for his temper and his aggressive behaviour with players. He has openly criticized his team over their poor performances.
When the Pakistani team lost to New Zealand last month, he harshly declared the defeat as the worst defeat he has ever faced in this entire career.
He does not take the loss very easily and is always ready to put the blame accordingly.
Pakistan and Cricket:
Pakistan is a well-known cricket loving nation. No matter where we are, we just love cricket. But with such a poor display of cricket, we are left with nothing but heartaches.
Moreover, when a coach loses his cool in such manner, you can say that the team is performing below the average. With the country overflowing with the talent and when the chosen players don’t perform up to the expectations, we think is it the time for them to go?
