Qatar is willing to invest heavily in different sectors of Pakistan to lift its economy and to revive the dying sectors. This was explained in the detailed briefing when Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was talking to media.
PM trip to Qatar will be Very Productive
According to the foreign minister, the recent tour of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Qatar will prove very productive as Qatar has shown interest in the betterment of Pakistan and they are willing to invest in agriculture, Transport, and energy sectors of Pakistan.
According to Shah Mehmood, Qatar has shown interest in buying two of the gas power plants from us while they will help in building two more in Pakistan as well. He also told the media persons that Qatar has lifted its ban on import of rice from Pakistan.
He termed this move as a goodwill gesture as it will bring billions to the country’s export. Furthermore, the Qatar government plans to provide financial aid to revive the Pakistan International Airline (PIA).
While being on tour, PM Imran Khan met with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hama Al-Thani and they discussed religious and bilateral ties between the two countries. This meeting took place at the Dewan-e-Amiri in Doha. During this important meeting, the long-standing LGN deal was also discussed.
Later Chairman Qatar Business Association Faisal Bin Qasim also called PM Imran Khan and discussed various opportunities for different business and investments plans.
All these details were given by the foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi when he was talking to the media and explaining the details of the PM’s tour to Qatar. He announced that a delegation of businessmen is expected to come to Pakistan very soon.
